• First is the slide. It replaces your heavy aluminum slide with a light plastic one. The Thunderslide, besides being lighter, also has larger and more numerous atmospheric vents. This creates more vacuum faster to act on a lighter slide. Result? much faster throttle response.
• Next it replaces your emulsion tube. This allows for better flow of the fuel from the float bowl up to the throat of the carb for atomization.
• It replaces that lame blunt needle that came with the stock carb. This provides much improved mid-range performance.
• The kit totally reworks your accelerator pump. It comes with a much improved tube that produces a fan spray instead of a squirt of gas, and a better metering device and spring.
• There is a drill bit, extractor screw and instructions for the removal of the plug that obstructs access to the idle/air needle. Tired of those cold morning hard starts? Or riding for 5 minutes with the enrichener on just to keep it running? Well expect to open that needle by about 2 turns! In the name of EPA ratings that comes almost closed from the factory.
• Finally the kit comes with an assortment of main jets to dial it in to your specific application with instructions on choosing the best one for your bike.
